Summary: Photograph of Sadie Hurst, Assemblywoman of Washoe County, served in Nevada Legislature in 1919. Sadie Hurst was born in Iowa in 1857, she was widowed there and came to Reno to live with her sons. In 1918 she became the first woman elected to the Nevada State Legislature.
