The Nevada State Literacy Resource Center (SLRC) has books, newsletters and a wide variety of multi-media resources such as videos, audiotapes and games for literacy instruction and programs for literacy students, trainers and tutors. The SLRC also makes special resources and services available to literacy program managers in the areas of: Program Management, Volunteer Development, Assessment and Record Keeping, Fundraising and Funding Sources, Grant Proposal Writing, Conference Hand-outs, Catalogs and Ordering Information. In addition, the SLRC offers technical assistance and use of facilities and equipment (tutoring rooms, tutor training facilities, computer workstations, hardware and software). Collection development has been supported by federal monies from the Library Services and Construction Act (LSCA), Job Training and Partnership Act (JTPA), National Literacy Act, Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
