the said Reese & co is justly indebted to me in the sum of Twenty-three thousand dollars, money had and received by said Reese & co from William B. Thorington Therefore the said company have sold and delivered and turned out to the said W.B. Thorington the above described property for his own use and benefit to satisfy said above sum of money with the exception of the mills and machinery built by Thomas Knott on the said Ranch in Carson Valley in witness our hands and seals this day and year above writen
