Carson Valley Sept. 9th 1854
Know all men by these presents that we J & E. Reese & Co have this day bargained and sold to Mr. William B. Thorington all the following property; to wit - all the Ranch and farm occupied and claimed by J & E. Reese and co - also all of the said Reese and & co share of Grain hay & etc raised on the said Ranch this season - together with Eight yoke of fine work cattle and one cow and ten head of horses sixty head of hogs seventy chickens all the farming and Blacksmithing tools together with all the Dry goods groceries hardware Drugs & etc -now in the store and store house of Reese & Co - together with all the household furniture and cooking utensils of Reese & co.- together with our other claim called Eagle Ranch at Eagle Valley and one half of the Carson Valley Bridge on the old Emmigrant Road, Whereas
