Know all men by these presents that we Reese and Company have this day agreed too and with Thomas Knott all of Carson Valley as follows to wit Whereas the said Thomas Knott have been Imployed by the said Company for sum time building a Saw mill Grist Mill Thrashing machine and Packing and so forth Sold the company Cattle mules and many other articles to a Large amount sum of four thousand Dollars which is in certain contracts writen and verbal therefore acorrding to the Laws and Regulations the said Knott has a lean and full Right to claim and hold the said mill and all the machinery built by him in his hand to be and Remain his in fee simple until he and all his hands is fully paid and satisfied for the above condition according to contracts therefore the said company do fully agree to and Release to the said Knott, the above
