and Seventy five Dollars, over and above all discounts which the said Woodward & Co. or Chorpenning have or has against him or company as near as he can ascertain the same, which debt arose from funds and supplies furnished for them in transporting the mail from Salt Lake to Sacramento and back and that the said Chorpenning has departed from this Valley and from California with intent to defraud his creditors, And this Defendant further says, that unless he attaches the property now here he is afraid that he will forever lose the chance of collecting his demand
