James Williams
James Williams was executed at the Nevada State Prison on August 25, 1950. He was convicted of killing Abraham Guitierrez on October 31, 1948. After killing Gutierrez, Williams went to the home of Louis Evans and shot and killed him as well. He had an extensive criminal record, having served terms in two different penitentiaries. Born to a very poor family with eight kids, Williams' father deserted the family when he was young, and James was illiterate. The Fort Worth, Texas, native was thirty-two at the time of his death.
