Nevada State Prison Inmate Case Files
Ray Elmer Miller
Ray Miller was executed at the Nevada State Prison in Carson City on May 8, 1933. Though he pled not guilty, he was convicted of murdering his wife in Las Vegas on December 1, 1932. Evelyn Miller was climbing the stairs outside her lawyers' office, where she'd gone to get a restraining order against her husband, when Miller shot her twice. He was arrested as he tried to fix his jammed gun. A native of Nebraska, Miller was thirty-four years old and listed his occupation as truck driver.
