Wilson Henry Boyd
Wilson Boyd was executed at the Nevada State Prison on May 28, 1940. He was convicted of murdering Floyd and Georgianna Robinson in Elko, Nevada on February 24, 1940. Boyd claimed he had been drinking for a couple of days and had a disagreement with Floyd; he also claimed he shot Georgianna Robinson in self-defense because she had grabbed a butcher knife after he shot her husband. Convicted on March 14, 1940, his execution was held two months later. Born in Tennessee, Boyd was forty-four years old.
